Anaheim OKs Walk of Stars
With the blessings of the City Council, which on Tuesday unanimously selected a preliminary list of 149 honorees, the first star on the Anaheim/Orange County Walk of Stars could appear by June. The first star will be dedicated to someone with wide recognition, such as Walt Disney or Gene Autry, said Robert Alexander, president of the Motion Picture Hall of Foundation, a Palm Springs-based nonprofit group that will build and maintain the stars. The stars will be placed in front of Disneyland along Harbor Boulevard and extend toward the Convention Center. The Walk of Stars eventually could stretch as far out as the Platinum Triangle along Katella Avenue, Alexander said.
