Frozen is Coming to Broadway in 2018













For the first time in forever, Frozen is coming to Broadway! Rumors about the show have been swirling for some time now, but the official announcement was released today. The all-new show will be joining the likes of the critically acclaimed Aladdin and The Lion King in spring 2018. The pre-Broadway engagement is slated to kick off summer 2017.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Closing for Refurbishment April 4th, 2016













Pardon Our Pixie Dust, Pardners! In an effort to better your Old West experience, the sun will set on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad as it closes for refurbishment on April 4, 2016, with a planned re-opening currently scheduled for July 2016.

This year, the Year of the Monkey, brings the return of the Happy Lunar New Year Celebration at Paradise Gardens in Disney California Adventure park, February 5-8! The event will celebrate time-honored traditions of the Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures while inviting guests of all backgrounds to enjoy the festivities. For those who celebrate, it is the customary time to reflect on the past and step into a new life of hope, prosperity and happiness.

The "Earffel Tower" Is Coming Down













Making way for the new Star Wars and Toy Story areas, the "Earffel Tower" landmark will come down at Disney's Hollywood Studios soon, and the theme park will close several attractions April 2. Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show; Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure; a Monsters Inc. meet-and-greet and the Studio Catering Co. restaurant will all close as part of a makeover. Rumour has it that the Writer's Stop has also been added to this list.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Villain Kylo Ren Arrives at WDW Resort and Disneyland Resort













Starting in February, a visit to Star Wars Launch Bay at either Disneyland Park in California or Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida will transport guests to the Star Wars galaxy for an encounter with Kylo Ren on the bridge of his First Order Star Destroyer. As seen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Kylo Ren is a dark warrior with a mysterious past. Kylo Ren is strong with the Force and serves as a leader of the First Order, seeking to destroy the New Republic, the Resistance and the legacy of the Jedi.

Artist’s Rendering Reveals New Look Coming to Rivers of America in Disneyland Park -













RIVERS OF AMERICA — As part of an ongoing, planned expansion at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., the Rivers of America at Disneyland Park will receive a brand-new waterfront, just outside the location of the new Star Wars-themed land. The new riverbank will also feature an elevated trestle over which the iconic Disneyland Resort Railroad will travel.

Minnie’s Silver Screen Dine


Minnie Mouse is inviting all of her friends to join her at Hollywood & Vine, where she’s hosting a fabulous dinner party celebrating the glamour of Hollywood!

From January 4 to March 20 celebrate the magic of the movies at Hollywood & Vine--the hottest spot in town this award season. Walk the red carpet and get ready for your close-up with some of the biggest stars of the silver screen. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy are dressed in their designer best.

It’s the perfect Hollywood party filled with dazzling décor and a musical score. Of course, no fabulous Hollywood party is complete without stellar eats. Scene-stealing soups (including the famous creamy popcorn soup, garnished with caramelized popcorn), best supporting appetizers, best leading entrees (bacon-wrapped pork loin, lobster and shrimp macaroni and cheese and honey-bourbon glazed turkey are headliners) and themed desserts are on the menu.

New RunDisney Costume Rules













We want to make you aware of some recent changes to the costuming guidelines and security procedures for RunDisney events. These changes go into effect Jan. 6, 2016 and are being implemented to further protect our Guests and Cast Members. Please note that while costumed attire may be worn during runDisney events, Guests 14 and older are not permitted to wear costumed attire in the theme parks. As a result, Guests may need to change their attire prior to visiting the parks after participating in a RunDisney race.

Epcot's Soarin' Closes Today For Refurbishment

Yesterday we said goodbye to Soarin' Over California. Epcot closed the attraction today as work begins to bring us the new Soarin' Around The World film. The refurbishment will include new screens, new projection systems and a 3rd theatre. The attraction is expected to reopen summer 2016.

Osborne Family Lights Extended till Jan 6th!













The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights has been extended till January 6th. The Disney Hollywood Studios park hours have also been extended until 10PM till January 6th as well. The Osborne lights can be enjoyed till 9PM each evening, while the The Symphony in the Stars fireworks are scheduled for park closing at 10PM.

Changes in Security Reportedly Headed to Disney Parks 12/17



According to our sources, a number of changes are heading to Walt Disney World (and later Disneyland) on or about December 17th. These include the addition of scanners similar to what you experience at the aiport, more uniformed security in the parks along with K-9 teams and a few parkwide policy changes.

Na’vi River Journey in Pandora


Pandora – The World of AVATAR will bring a variety of new experiences to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, including a family-friendly attraction called Na’vi River Journey. The adventure begins as guests set out in canoes and venture down a mysterious, sacred river hidden within the bioluminescent rainforest. The full beauty of Pandora reveals itself as the canoes pass by exotic glowing plants and amazing creatures. The journey culminates in an encounter with a Na’vi shaman, who has a deep connection to the life force of Pandora and sends positive energy out into the forest through her music.

Club Villain Coming To Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Westjet Unveiles Frozen Themed Plane

 

Westjet has unveiled a new Frozen-themed plane — its second custom-painted Disney-themed aircraft. The Calgary-based airline unveiled the Frozen plane at a hangar in Toronto on Sunday morning. The mostly-blue plane features Anna and Elsa working some snow magic on the tail, while snowman Olaf features on the front, lying under an umbrella on the beach. The aircraft was painted in Fort Worth, Texas, using 624 litres of paint in 23 colours. It will join Westjet's "Magic Plane" featuring Sorcerer Mickey, launched two years ago.

Club Disney Premieres Dec. 5 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios


Sunset Showcase, an all-new special event venue, will open later this year on Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®. This entertainment showplace has been custom designed to host a variety of different experiences over time. The premier engagement at the new Sunset Showcase will be Club Disney, the hottest spot in town for kids and characters alike! Guests can join Mickey and friends on the dance floor in this electric club environment, where a DJ Club Host spins the perfect playlist mix of favorite Radio Disney Top 40 songs as the floor and walls come alive with vivid images from classic Disney animation.

Annual Pass Price Increases & Changes, Tables in Wonderland and Parking Price Increases.


Walt Disney World today announced Annual Pass price increases along with changes to the ticket in name and substance. A Gold Pass will cost - New $549 Renewal $466, Platinum - New $649 Renewal $549, and Platinum Plus - New $729 Renewal $619 before tax. At the same time Tables in Wonderland and parking increased in price.'

Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights to Close After This Year


Confirmed by Disney on the Parks Blog. "As you plan ahead, we also wanted you to know that this holiday season will mark the finale for The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. The display of lights has enjoyed a successful run at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, going all the way back to when it first appeared on Residential Street. In order to prepare for some incredible experiences coming to the park, including the recently announced Toy Story Land and a Star Wars-themed land, we will not be able to present The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights in the future.
